Re-registering used software ?

I would like to buy frontpage 2000 and start to learn it. I have looked on
e-buy and other used places for used software.

If I were to buy a used piece of software such as frontpage, can I
re-register it so it doesnt crash after 74 uses or whatever it does.

What is the risk, the fact I might not be able to register it again, or some
other risk of buying Frontpage from e-bay ?
Many of the software there, the seller does say never registered.
I would think there is a way to register software again.
But actually I have no clue what MS requires.
