Hello,
When I try to open an Excel file which is open by another user I get
a window in which I am informed that this file is open by another user and I
can only open in read only mode.
Now I encounter the situation in which I was trying to open ( for
editing) a file but I can only open in read only mode because was open for
editing by me ( although I just trying to open it). I have restarted the
computer but I could not open the file
On server I could find ( in "Manage this server" ) that this file
was open by another user and after I told him to close that file I could open
for editing from my station.
Can you please tell me why when I wanted to open that file I was
informed that it is open by me and not the real user?
Files as saved on a Windows 2003 server and we use Office 2003.
