After the last set of Windows Updates I am now finding that many of our users
that frequently use several Access databases are now experiencing issues when
opening their databases. They are sporadically receiving an error message.
The error reads:
The database 'nameofdb' is read only
You won't be able to save changes made to data or object definitions in this
database.
Now just so you know the ntfs permissions on the db's are not read only. Nor
is there any coding of read only forms etc..
The weird part is if I have the users reboot then the db works flawlessly as
it is supposed to.
Seeing as we never had this issue up until last "patch Tuesday" I must
assume that one of the updates is contributing to the issue that is occurring.
Ideas or comments?
TIA.
