Read Only Error

I couldn't have said it better myself: "I am using word in Office 2000 Pro, I have a user when he
saves a document, he always gets a message that the
document is read only. This happens even when he created
the document. For instance, he opens a new document,
types his name, goes to save, and it says this file is
read only....

How can I fix this?" - - - Thanks Emily, and all of you who are experiencing the same. I can only hope that someone will recognize a solution so I can reduce the calls with Network Support
