So, after reading a plethora of information from Microsoft on how to post an
Access 2007 db to SharePoint, utilizing the publishing function and the
SharePoint lists. I have a new front end Db posted to a new SharePoint site
and it works great. One small issue, when the database opens there is a Read
Only ribbon under my customized ribbon: "This database has been opened read
only. You can only change data in linked tables. To make design changes, save
a copy of the database." and the "Save As" button. You can close the ribbon,
but it appears each time the db is opened.
Does anyone know if there is a way to get rid of this ribbon or code it out?
I don’t want to give users the ability to save the front end...and trust me,
if given the opportunity someone will.
