Read-only recommended option in Powerpoint

Is it possible to prompt for read-only on opening a Powerpoint presentation,
as it is in Excel? It would be useful to prevent a full-access copy opening
in a team environment where I merely wish to view the file, but my colleagues
need to edit it.
