read only

in word, i save documents in a write form, transfer them
to a cdrw and then when i open them on another computer
from the cd, it is read only. this never happened before.
any suggestions?

also, when i transfer data to a cdrw it used occur
instantly, now i hae to go thru the roxio cd maker whcih
takes 5 minutes. this is also a new occurrence.

any thoughts?

First, don't save directly to (or edit directly from) removable media
including a CDRW.

You need to copy your docs back to your hard drive and edit them from there.
You may also want to select all of them in Windows and right-click to get to
Properties. Uncheck the read-only tag if it is there on the hard disk files.
