read-only

Edwin Bossier

Hi,

Is it possible in Word, without using forms, to make certain portions
(pieces of text, a picture,...) of a template 'read-only' so a user of the
template can not (by accident) change them?

Thanks a lot,
Edwin

Hi Edwin,

You do not need to have formfields in the document to protect it, or parts
of it for forms. To protect only part of a document, that part needs to be
in a separate section as the protection can only be applied on a section by
section basis.
