Read Process Memory error when loading Office XP

Thank you for your advice, I think you are on the right track. I
have looked for drivers for my CD-ROM drive but so far have only found
drivers that are older than the one currently installed. If anyone
knows a quick and easy way to update the driver, please let me know.
The CD ROM is an IBM CRD-8322B with version 5.1.2535 of the driver.

Well, I finally got this one fixed, and it was indeed the CD-ROM
drive. I obtained an external usb connected 52X24X52 cd rom drive and
the software loaded fine. I'm not sure why the internal cd rom drive
couldn't handle the task, it still works for other installs. Hope this
helps someone else who gets this inocuous error!
