READ RECEIPTS NOT BEING PROCESSED UNLESS I OPEN THEM

I am running Windows XP SP1, Outlook 2000 SR1. I just started having
problems. I have always had the option turned on to automatically move
receipts to a folder called RECEITPS. This used to work automatically,
whether I opened the receipt or not. All of a sudden, the receipts just sit
in my inbox. Once I open a receipt, it DOES go to the proper place. I
thought maybe it was just a slow processing problem, but I have had receipts
in my inbox for a week now. My pc is typically on 8 - 10 hours per day with
Outlook open. Any idea what it may be? I have searched MS but can't find
anything. Thanks in advance.
