Read receipts not tracking

I am sending multiple messages to 1 or more recipients and requesting a read
receipt notification for each message. Upon receiving a mail saying the
recipient has read/viewed my mail I find that not all notices are being
tracked in the Tracking tab of the Sent mail. Some are working and some are
not -- I can't figure out why.

The Sent messages are in the Sent Items folder, the read receipt mail is in
the Inbox, has been opened and then closed and remain in the InBox.

Any suggestions?
