Read Receipts

I have MS Outlook from Office Xp. For some reason when I send out a
broadcast e-mail (about 100 contacts) I get READ and RECEIPT
notifications back EVEN though those options ARE NOT selected. I would
appreciate any ideas you may have. I know it is a 'pain' for those
receiving my e-mails having to respond to my system's requests. I then
get an 'inbox' full of receipts.

I have scanned for virus, Adaware, spybot, defrag, scan disk, window
and office updates and nothing has worked.

Thanks R

do you have a rule set requesting receipts? do most send back receipts? If
not, the recipient may be redirecting it and enabling receipts on the
redirection.

In fact I have checked both indiviudual and group distribution
settings...neither are for read or received receipt. About 25% are
sending back notiification (the others must have set there systems not
to respond any longer)..................still not sure why this is
happening.........thanks!!
