reading a Word 2007 attachment

I Word 2000 or xp. I can't seem to remember. My problem is someone sent me a
file in Word 2007 and I can't get it to open where I can read it.

You could ask the sender to save the document in Word 97-2003 format and
resend it, but if you don't want to do that, you can download the Microsoft
Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats
from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...70-3ae9-4aee-8f43-c6bb74cd1466&displaylang=en. A
fringe benefit of doing this is that you will also get all the new fonts
that ship with Office 2007.
