Reading Entourage Messages in Gmail

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Email Client: pop I am using Entourage for my work email client. I don't have a mac laptop and can't access email from home. I have tried using webmail, but can only see unread messages (I think read messages are downloaded to my hard drive at work). I need a way to read all of my Entourage email messages from my PC laptop at home. Any suggestions? Is there a way to sync with my gmail account?

There are two options:

* in Tools>Options, double-click your Gmail account, switch to the Options
tab and make sure the option to leave the messages on the server is checked.

* better yet, set up Gmail as an IMAP account. That way, your messages will
be stored on the server as opposed to locally in Entourage, and the messages
you view from your PC laptop at home will be marked as read the next time
you connect to your account via Entourage. You can find instructions here:

p_service.html>

Or, if the above link does not work:

Keep in mind that you will have to delete the Gmail POP account first. Don't
worry, your emails are stored locally in Entourage, so deleting the account
does not mean deleting the emails you have received so far.
