Reading Office 2007 Documents in Office 2000 or 2003

I composed a document in Office 2007 (.docx) and emailed it as an attachment
to other computers. One had Office 2000 installed, the other 2003. Neither
was able to open and read the document. is there a viewer or add-on that
will allow others without Office 2007 to read that document?

Never require the end user to download something to view your files. (Well,
almost never. Acrobat Reader would be an exception and since that's almost
always preinstalled, it's not usually an issue.)

Always save any document that is going to be emailed or opened on another
computer as 97-2003 in the save options.

That product will not work with Office 2000.

granted. Thanks, Milly!

You should save in the 2003 format instead if you'd like to view it on that
pc also.
