Reading with Office XP Word documents created with Beta 1

Hi,

Last year, while trying out Beta 1, I created some word and ppt documents
that now, having changed my computer and not having the Beta version, can't
read.

Do you know if there is a converter or anything I could download to be able
to read and put the docs in Office XP readable format?

I downloaded and installed it, but I can't find the program to execute. As I
did not choose where to save / install the download, would you know where to
look for?I've done several searches with no results. I can see in Add/Remove
programs that the Compatibility pgm was installed, but to now, I have not
been able to use it.

I will really apprecite your help.

I beleive it updates your current copy of Office XP products to allow them
to directly open files from Office 2007 products. So it is not a stand alone
converter. Open word and try to open one of the files that you want and see
what happens.

That was what I was afraid of, as I'm still unable to read the document. I
was hoping it would be a stand-alone conversion pgm I had to execute. Thanks
so much anyway.

Have you tried downloading the trial version and using it to do a save-as
ofo your files?
