Really slow opening attachments

Just during the last few months, Outlook 2003 has become really slow opening
attachments. It takes about 60 seconds for the attachment to open. I don't
have Norton plug in enabled and I have tried disabling the ones that are
there and that does not fix it.

Are you opening the attachments from within the message? Does the speed of
opening change if you first save the attachment to disk and then open the
saved file? Have you tried emptying the Outlook Secure Temp folder? See
