Rebuilt PC now cant reregister Word, Excel

O

only a girl

After a virus, I had to completely rebuild my PC using the original Home
software. Every time I use Word, Excel, etc, I am asked to re-register the
software. Every time I try to register, I am told the product is already
registered to my PC. I'm now working in reduced functionality, and guess who
made the PC? TIME computers, so they can't help. Perhaps you can?

Do you mean you're being asked to activate the software? Activation and
registration are actually different.

If it is activation, then open Word or Excel and go to Help/Activate
Product. Follow the prompts there, but choose to register by telephone. Or
try the internet option, and when you are told it's already registered to
your PC, you should have an option to call and talk to a real person.

Dial the phone and tell the person on the other end that you had to rebuild
your system. They should give you an activation key to type in.

Your problem is due to the fact that the preinstalled version of Office
is a time-limited trial and has now expired. You need to uninstall it,
and then purchase a full version and install that
