Recalled message

I recalled a message and did not wish to send one in it's place, I clicked
the box that says notify me if it succeeds or fails, but I never got any
response

Recall works, when it works at all, only if the recipient is on the same
Exchange server and hasn't opened the message yet.

While it's true that recall works less often than Gary Coleman the
recipient doesn't have to be on the same Exchange server as long as the
recall message is sent (and received) as a rich text file.

Even so the message does have to be unread, as you observe, and a whole
host of other criteria, some of them apparently mystical, have to be
met.

That's good to know.

To cloud the issue even more.

From Microsoft's website

Message Recall will not be successful if:

• The recipient is not using Outlook.
• The recipient is not logged on to the mail service provider.
• The message has been moved from the Inbox.
• The message has been read. This includes viewing the message with the
Preview Pane so that the message is flagged as Read.

At the very least, yes. Brian is absolutely right when he says that
recall rarely works. Corel used to have this feature in their little
mail program; they called it the "Save Your Job Feature." :)

Of course, their product was not in the same class with Outlook/Exchange
as far as reach and scope.
