Receipant name showing multipule times

I have a client that is receiving emails, from internal
and external customers, where his name is showing up 6+
times in the TO or CC fields. We are using Office 2000,
running SP3. Does anyone know what is causing this?

After updating my DAT files and running a virus scan, no
viruses were found. Then a reset of the computer seems to
have resolved this so far.
