received date incorrect

I have a user who keeps receiving email that has an incorrect date showing in Inbox. When email is replied or forwarded, it show correct date in the new email. Any clues why this might be happening. The emails are coming from international customers usually and this user is on Outlook 2000 (independant, not on exchange!!)
