what folder and file names is mail stored in using
Outlook 2000 with Win 2K. I want to back up mail or move
to disk, and transport between machines.

Its the *.pst file, this is a hidden file. Location, by default:
Documents and Settings\'User name'\local settings\Applications
Data\Microsoft\Outlook
