Receiving Duplicate emails.

I receive 2 emails from some people when they only send me 1 email. Both
emails are identical- a duplicate.

This does not happen with all emails-only a select few, but always from them.

What version of Outlook do you have? What sort of account(s)? When you
get the duplicates, do you get both during the same send/receive operation,
or on differnt send/receives?

Thanks for getting back to me Jeff- to answer your questions:
I have Outlook Ver 2003. Part of Microsoft Office Standard Edition 2003 for
Students and teachers.

Not sure what you mean by "sort of account"- it is my personal email
account- I have only one account associated with this Outlook.

I get them in the same send/ receive operation.

I mean is the account a POP3 account, Exchange account, Hotmail account?
I'll assume it's a POP3 account.
I get them in the same send/ receive operation.

In that case, multiple copies of the message were sent to you, and there's
nothing you can do on your end to change that. If you know the people from
whom you're receiving these duplicates, ask them if they have anti-virus
software scanning their outgoing messages. If so, ask them to turn off
that option - it often appears to cause Outlook (at least) to send multiple
copies of messages.

Thanks Jeff- it ias a POP3 account.
I have another issue happening now- I get a protocol error when I try to
send out an email that is sent to one person in the "To" box and cc'd to
others. What can I do to fix this?
