Receiving email in wrong format

I have Outlook 2003 and just installed it on new pc with Vista. I have tried
everything but can't get some emails to be in a legible format. They show as
plain text...

You can't control the format senders use. If you are seeing plain text
instead of html, look at Tools, options, email options and make sure 'read
all standard mail in plain text' is not selected.

I've been searching around and there is a conflict with Vista and Outlook
2003 that I haven't seen any solutions to. My plain text settings are
correct and I've tried having people resend email to me in different formats
with no luck. I'll be reading some email on a friend's computer for a
while....
