When trying to access a table in a exsisting database, I get a error box
stating "id is not an index in this table. Accessing the help button for
this error. The statement of Error 3800 is displayed. Does anyone know how to
clear this up? Is it a failure with Access or the state of the database?

This "is not an index" error means that your tables are corrupted. MAKE A
BACKUP IMMEDIATELY (don't overwrite any older backup, you may need it!). See
http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/corruptmdbs.htm for a discussion of database
corruption, its causes and cures.

If you've been generous to strangers, kind to stray cats, and otherwise
accumulated some good karma, you may be able to use Tools... Database
Utilities... Compact and Repair. If that doesn't solve it check out the
remedies in Tony's website above.
