Receiving File sharing lock count exceeded in Access 2007

I have a 40,000 record comma delimited that imports into Access 2003 in 40
sec with no problems. The same file imported into Access 2007 chugs along
for 10 minutes, then displays the error "File sharing lock count exceeded.
Increase MaxLocksPerFile registry entry. I've increased the registry entry
from its default to 2,000,000 with the same result. I've found no solution
to my problem. Can anyone help?

Hello,

I understand that you enconter error message "File sharing lock count
exceeded. Increase MaxLocksPerFile registry entry." You change the value
MaxLocksPerFile under the following key but the issue still occurs. If I'm
off-base, please let me know.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Jet\4.0\Engines\Jet 4.0

Based on my research, this is a known issue in Access 2007. When import
large file into Accdb, this issue may occur. Product team is invistigating
the problem at present. If you 'd like to know the status of the problem,
you may want to contact Microsoft Product Support Services and open a
support incident and work with a dedicated Support Professional.

To obtain the phone numbers for specific technology request please take a
look at the web site listed below.

The internal issue id for this problem is office12.786013.

Sorry for any inconvenience it may have brought. If there is any update on
the issue, we will let you know. Thank you for your patience.

Best Regards,

I'd reccomend moving to SQL Server

MDB has NEVER been reliable enough for real world usage
