Receiving Large Volumes of e-mail (1.5k +)

I have 1.5K + of e-mail on my ISP' server. I now want to down load all of my
e-mail to my own server via outlook. I want to do thru outlook because I
have virus scanning in place and order security tools to check my e-mail
messages.

My problem is that it appears that has outlook down loads the mail it does
not delete it from the server until it complete the entire down load process.
It also appears that outlook create a temporary holding place for the mail
also before insert mail into my inbox. This temporary area just grows as mail
comes down.

The result is that I run out of disks space before all the mail is received.
I've now placed a 250 GB disk drive on my system that I hope will handle the
down loading of mail.

How do I tell outlook to use this 250 GB disk space to down load mail to? Or
can I not create the temporary holding area?

I think once I get all of my mail down loaded everyting will be fine I'm
just have problem getting all down loaded.

I'm also looking for any suggestions?

Thanks

Outlook doesn't create a temp location - your AV scanner might.

How can I move my outlook mail box to another drive and have outlook store my
mail there? The new drive will have more space for my mailbox to grow.

Thanks

Close outlook. Find your *.pst (probably at C:\Documents and
Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook) and move it. Reopen
outlook. When it whines, point it to the new location.
