Receiving mail from a contact who has a mac computer.

when ever i get a email from my contact who uses a Mac opperating system, i
get red x instead of picture and all text is in seperate pieces under
attachments, how can i fix this or is the problem at his end, I'm running
windows xp sp3 with office 2003
