Thanks, in a roundabout way. Your reply says "After
searching google.groups.com (sic) and finding no answer,
paul asked...."
So I did search
http://groups.google.com and found:
http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-
8&newwindow=1&safe=off&threadm=%23O9tuW9BDHA.2044%
40TK2MSFTNGP10.phx.gbl&rnum=4&prev=/groups%3Fq%3Doutlook%

257Cdisplay%2B-abuse%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26ie%3DUTF-8%
26newwindow%3D1%26safe%3Doff%26selm%3D%2523O9tuW9BDHA.2044%
2540TK2MSFTNGP10.phx.gbl%26rnum%3D4
which states, along with a really good technical
discussion, that "the problem is that Outlook doesn't
comply to the standards that other MUA's follow while
creating a message".
Could the issue discussed in this article be my problem?

What version of Outlook? Outlook 97 cannot render HTML, only the later
clients.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, paul asked:
| Received email in mime format has the "html" component as
| an attachment. Outlook displays the "text" portion.
| Clicking on the attachment displays it in IE.
|
| Is there any way to get Outlook to display the HTML
| message as intended?
