Recent documents

Why does Excel 2007 on XP Pro not show recent documents after a couple of
days even when push-pinned?

Sorry, I don't understand. Why would I run software to remove them when I am
trying to keep them? My McAffee anti-virus software does not affect Recent
Document settings in any way. They stay available for a couple of days and
then disappear even when I use the pushpin. Is there an option somewhere in
Office 2007 to specify how long to keep Recent Documents? Thanks.

No it isn't Office that is doing it. It is caused by something other
than Office. People run software that removes things like cookies,
history, and recent activities on a PC. There are many different ones
that do this. You may wish to recall what happens right before they
"disappear".

Thanks Bob, I'll look into it, Gren

Hi Bob, it seems that recent documents disappear from Excel when they are
superseded on the recent documents menu on the XP start menu, any ideas?

So they are replaced in the XP start menu? Seems reasonable. I suppose
the "pinned" feature is a shared resource. Never used the XP
Fisher-Price interface, so the side effects of that menu haven't
affected me.
