Recent Files List in Office 2003

Andrew

Just installed Office 2003 Professional and am quite happy apart from the
fact that no recently opened files appear at the bottom of the File menu in
any of the applications. On looking in Tools|Options|General the "Recently
used file list" check box is grayed (unable to be selected). This is the
case in Access, Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
Has anyone else had this problem (and better yet - found a solution)?
Cheers,
Andrew

Hi Andrew,

If you used TweakUI or another 3rd party utility to customize Windows
to disable document shortcuts from being added to the Start Menu, then
that's where the problem lies. For more information see:

Fantastic! Many thanks Eric and Beth. I had used TweakUI and made the
changes suggested in the microsoft support bulletin - all is fine now.
Cheers,
Andrew
