Recipients of my emails cannot open my word or excel attachments

When i send an attachment with an email the reciever is unable to open the
file. Please tell me what i need to do diffrently to allow others to read my
attachments. I am using Office 2007

This is not an Outlook issue. Most likely you are sending them your files in
docx or xlsx format. Either save them in the doc or xls format or tell them
to install the Office 2007 compatibility update for previous versions of
Office.
