Reclaiming a declined meeting invitation

I would like Outlook to keep a record of declined meeting invitations in a
recipient's calendar. Occasionally, I decline a meeting due to a conflict,
then find the the conflicting appointment has been cancelled and I'd like to
accept the invitation I previously declined.
