record position lost when subform is closed

I created a command button on a form to open a new form against another table
to add detail records. When the 'sub' form is closed, the main form goes back
to the first record. Is there a way to keep the main form on the original
record?

Hi Mike,

Unless you are doing a requery the first form should stay on the same
record. If you are doing a requery, you can always cache the value of the
primary key of the current record before the requery then following the
requery, use the cached value to relocate that record.
