RecordCount after applying filter

Can someone help me out here. How do I get the number of
records returned after I apply a filter. I've tried:

Me.recordset.recordcount while the filter is on, but no
dice.

Close! Try:

=[Form].[RecordsetClone].[RecordCount]

in the controlsource of a textbox.
