Records being converted to MANDARIN!?

For some unknown reason, some of the records in our Access database are being
converted from English to Mandarin, and are unable to be converted back.
Usually they are only converted in the front-end of the database, however
some of them are converting in the back-end as well. There is one particular
field that cannot be entered in the Mandarin records, if you do click on it
your get the "Microsoft Access had encountered an error and needs to close"
or whatever that message is.
Any ideas? Is it a bug in program? Virus scanning has not detected anything.

Sounds like corruption to me.
Is the field in question a memo field?

Before you attempt anything, be sure you have a backup copy of your
database, because any repair may lose data for you.
First, try a Compact/Repair on the database.

It is affecting every field, with the exception of some hyperlinks, but yes,
the field that you cannot enter information into is a memo field.
Attemps to repair have not rectified the issue.

Thanks for your help, I've got the database man on it now getting rid of the
memo fields, we just have to limit our typing!
Thanks again,
