Records not showing up in Editor

Sam

Running FP2002 w/Access 2000 db's. User edits via the
website. Approx. 267 records, the last 3 just being
entered today. All records show either in a master listing
or query during a search, including the last 3 records
just entered. When the user goes into edit mode the last 3
records do not show. Have also received error HTTP/1.1 404
Object Not Found. Yes, I know what MS says about this, but
I am wondering if this us or the webhosting service that
is creating the current problem. Any thoughts on what is
going on here ?

Thanks,
Sam

Non-official answer? Sure, I am a non-official kind of guy (my only tie is
the MVP title they have awarded me ;->)

Ok, I would assume that there is a caching issue whereby the records are not
being requeried after the three records are added. It is likely that
dropping out of the browser and then popping back in will clear the cache,
if it is session based. Without additional information, I can only guess
whether this is a FrontPage issue, an Access issue, or something an ISP
could have set (I would assume FrontPage data components first, or Access,
as these are things that can be tested locally without bugging the ISP).

I am, personally, a control freak when it comes to data, so I do not use the
MS FrontPage data access features. They are great for small shops with
simple data needs, but they are not designed for Enterprise applications.
This is not a knock of FPO, per se, as I love it as a web design tool (esp.
the newest version). But, it was not designed (at least not 2002 and to an
extent not 2003) as a web application development tool.

Thanks Greg
I will go to the client's office Monday, download a fresh
set of the db's and run the simulation on his machine.
