Recordset in Excel

Hi,

Can anyone guide me to as how to query an SQL database and display the
results in an Excel Spreadsheet.

A simple question to a lot of you, I know, but I'm a newbie to VBA.

Thanks very much for any assistance.

Phil.

Have you tried Tools/Macro/Record New Macro before using the Data/Import
External Data/New Database Query menu item. This will create an SQL
statement which you can later edit.

Hi Kim,

Thanks for the info, I'm new to Ms VBA so I didn't realise you could do it
that way. I'm not too bad on SQL as I tend to use SQL and TSQL a fair bit at
work.

Thanks once again.

Phil.
