recover database from local database

Hi,

by synching my bcm database from a workstation with windows mobile some
problems came up. the result is that there are missing a lot of contacts now
and a lot of the existing are there twice now. on my notebook i had access to
the same database. it is not synchronized yet.

my question: how can i get back the status of this local version (on my
notebook)? is it possible to recover all data from there? or set something
inside the synchronisation, so that it thinks, the local database is more
actual?
