Version: v.X
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Intel

Have given back my work laptop which has Office 2004 on Leopard
and archived my details which became a Main Identity .rge file (folder). Am running Office vX on Tiger. Any ideas how i can 'un-archive' and import into Entourage or Mail?

I would imagine the file format for the .rge file changed from Entourage
X to Entourage 2004. If you can't select File --> Import and bring in
the information then you'll need to probably upgrade your Entourage X to
either Office 2004 (if you can find it) or Office 2008.

The .rge archive was a feature introduced in Office 2004, so it is not
accessible in Entourage v.X. As Bill suggested, you will have to upgrade to
Entourage 2004 or 2008 to access your archive. Alternatively, you can open
it on someone else's Mac and then export the folders as .mbox files (simply
drag the mail folders from the folder list to the desktop), which you can
then easily import back into Entourage v.X (drag the .mbox files back into
the folder list).
