Recovering Outlook Express *.dbx files

S

Stan

I recently had a hard drive failure on my computer. I was
able to enlist the services of a computer technician to
recover most of what I consider important files, including
several folders from OE with .dbx references. The guy
copied those files to a CD, and I now have 3Mb of Inbox, 1
Mb of Sent, etc... I now have a working computer with new
hard drive, and I want to pull the files/folders off of
the CD and open those messages for review/print (inside OE
or another text/word program would be fine). I have tried
the file - import - messages wizard inside OE and get
nowhere. Trying to "save as" the files in notepad, text,
or Word also gets me nowhere. If I could just open the
files so I could print them, I would at least have the
info, even if I did not have an electronic version. Help
most appreciated.
