recreate fuzzy pictures

Hi Niki

This is not possoble in Access.

If you want to use the picture in a database (or anywhere else) and it's
"fuzzy" the best bet would be to open the picture in a graphics programme
(Photoshop - Photopaint - etc). You can try re-sampleing the picture (up to
around 600dpi) and then sharpen it. But this is never very successful but it
really the only thing you can do with "fuzzy" pictures.
Note the "fuzziness" is normally caused by too low resolution (not enough
pixels per area) or anit-aliseing problems (pixels overlapped). In both
cases your only real choice is to try and get hold of the original scan or
file.

if the fuzziness you are looking for is the kind of fuzziness one can see in
MS Access tutorial dbs, you could try reducing color depth of a picture to
256 colors in any reasonable graphics editor (paint shop pro would do, even
the oldest versions such as PSP 3), and using dithering while doing that. It
would require some fiddling to get a pretty result, though. Access will
obviously not do that for you )
