Rectangle Objects Not Printing

Joshua Park

I am running Access 2000, and I have reports with
rectangles to separate sections of the data. Some of
these are hairline, some are 2 pixels wide. (As an
example, I have a rectangle with Visible = "Yes", Back
Style = "Transparent", Border Style = "Solid", Border
Color = "0", Border Width = "Hairline".) When I preview
the report, the borders appear as normal; everything is
seen. The problem happens when I print the report: none
of the rectangles are printed!

The strange thing is that they WILL print out on some
printers, but not all. With a new HP LaserJet 1130, they
do not appear. With an older HP LaserJet 5, they DO
appear. Help!

CORRECTION: The new printer is an HP LaserJet 1300, and
the older one is an HP LaserJet 5m.

Some printers struggle with lines of width "hairline". Try setting them to one point
instead. Oddly enough, some printers have this problem only with black lines so if
you use some other dark color the lines might print just fine. The print processing
setting being EMF vs. RAW can also make a difference.

Thank you very much. It was the color that was the
culprit here! I appreciate your help.
