Recurring appointment disappeared

When I edited a recurring appointment and clicked"Save & Close", the entire
series disappeared. This happened twice last night. I have used this version
of Outlook 2003 for over a year. Has this happened to anyone else? When I do
a search under "Find" The appointment shows up on the find list, but it does
not show up on the calendar view. It also does not show up under deleted
items.

First thing to double check is the start date for the recurring appointment.
Make sure it's when you think it is. I've 'lost' things by starting them a
year or two off....
