Recurring appointment on Outlook Today does not appear in my Calen

I had a recurring appointment, which I seem to have deleted by accident from
the relevant days in my Calendar when amending an entry, but the recurring
appointment still appears on my Outlook Today page. This has happened before
& I know if I create a replacement recurring appointment, I will have 2
identical entries on my Outlook Today page, but only one on the relevent day
on my Calendar. The appointment does not appear in the Deleted Items folder.
Any suggestions as to how to recover the recurring appointment and/or make it
visible again in Calendar as well as Outlook Today?
