I think the Outlook on my computer is corrupted in some way. I keep getting
the following errors when sending/receiving messages.
Most frequent error: Unable to connect to server (account xyz, pop3 Sever
abc, error number 0x800ccc0e).
Occasional error: There was a problem logging on to your mail server. You
need to enter a password (account xyz, pop3 Sever abc, error number
0x800ccc92).
=> There is no dialog box asking to enter the password, it is just a
message.
It used to happen one in a while but now it is a daily occurrence many times
in a day. The work around so far has been to restart the computer - it
works for a while and then wham it occurs again.
I have checked all the settings with the service provided many times but to
no avail.
It should be noted that I do not have this problem when using Outlook
Express and my assistant does not have this problem on her computer when
using Outlook.
