recurring task unavailable

Hi,
I have Outlook 2003 with BCM and Planplus 3. I've noticed recently that if
I start a new task or edit an existing task (even one that is recurring), the
"Recurrence" button is unavailable (grayed out). Has anyone come across this
before, and is it caused by Outlook itself or 1 of the two add-ins?

any help would be appreciated.
