Red eye reduction in Photo Editor

I have Windows XP Pro and Office 2000. I'm trying to use Microsoft Photo
Editor to reduce the red eyes in some of my digital photos. Not being very
successful. When I use the "smudge" option, the eyes end up very "flat"
looking without any sparkle to them.

Any hints?

Try Irfanview. It's free from www.irfanview.com and the red eye reduction has
worked quite well for me.
