Red triangle in the status bar

Does anyone know what the red triangle means in the status bar. It appears
to the right of the "connected" status in Project. I cannot find any errors
in the queue or on the server, but the user says this is the first time
they've seen that symbol.

The red triangle refers to an error in the Local Project Cache on the user's
hard drive. Click Tools - Local Project Cache - View Status to see the
error. Hope this helps.

Thanks, we resolved the issue. The user did find one project plan with error
code 10102 when she checked her local cache.

Hi Dale
I have a user with the same error (10102 - Entity is not checked out to
you). Can you tell me what this means and how to fix it. The user cannot
open the schedule.

Thanks
Peter

Ask the Project Server administrator to check in the project. Hope this
helps.

The project is not currently checked out. I have subsequently opened,
updated and checked it back in with no issue but the user still can't open it.

I have asked him to call me and intend to get him to clear the cache to see
if that works. Do you think this should rectify it?

Hi again
I spoke to the user and got him to clear the cache. He is now able to open
the project with no problems.

All is good in the world again.

Cheers

You have taken a logical approach to the solution, and the solution WORKED!
Way to go, my friend. Thanks for sharing. :)

Hi, We have the Red Triangle also. There were two errors and one stopped
showing when we cleared cache. The other says "Project Server encountered a
problem with this error code: 10100." We don't seem to have any isues with
the project though...any ideas?

Thank you!

It could be that there was an error at some point in the past for the user
in project pro. It could be this was an old error. The active cache status
will retain this information until you delete the cache folders on the
machine.

You probably don't see any errors in the queue because the error is old.
