Redemption helper ADD IN

I'm trying to figure out what the "Redemption helper Outlook Extension" add
in does and why it's in my add ins. Does anyone know the answer to this?

If you are using a COM addin that uses the Redemption library
(www.dimastr.com/redemption), a tool used by developers to do things without
firing the Outlook security prompts, you will have that listing.
